Star Student

Beginning September  8th, we will have a "Star of the Week!"  Having a Star of the Week is a great and personalized way to get to know the friends in our class.  Each week, a different student will be selected to be the Star!  A schedule will be sent out letting you know what week they are assigned to be the Star Student.  Listed below is an outline of the activities that we will do each week:


-Monday: The star student will bring in their "Read All About Me" poster displaying pictures, drawings, and words of themselves, their family, friends, and pets.  This poster is to be made as a family and may be designed anyway you choose.  We will be discussing the poster as a class to learn more about the star student.  The poster will be kept on display all week!

-Tuesday: The start student will bring in their favorite snack to share with the class.  We will eat this yummy treat as an afternoon snack! (Please make sure to bring enough for everyone - we have a total of 21 students in our class.)

 - Wednesday:  The star student will bring their favorite book to share with the class.  Students will be given the opportunity to read their book to the entire class!

 - Thursday:  The star student may choose their favorite movie or CD to share with the class.

 - Friday:  The star student will bring in a special item from home!  It can be a toy, trophy, picture, or anything your child chooses.  They will have a chance to show this item to the class and answer any questions the class may have.  (Please be sure your child brings items fro home ONLY when they are the star student!)
